Georgia King, LCSW
Georgia’s strong clinical skills, in combination with her down-to-earth warmth and insight, help clients address and overcome a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, life transitions, loss and relationship difficulties. Through their work in therapy, Georgia’s clients routinely make powerful changes and experience more day-to-day ease and confidence, as well as closeness in their relationships.
Therapy with Teens
Georgia specializes in therapy with teenagers, helping them build self-esteem; manage perfectionism, stress and depression; and make smart choices about friends, parties, school, dating and the future.
Georgia has a high success rate with “hard-to-reach” teens who don’t open up easily or want to come to therapy. After a session or two, more often than not, teens begin to engage and share in the process.
Georgia provides culturally aware counseling to a wide range of individuals, including multiracial families, transgender youth, people with disabilities, religious minorities and same-sex couples.
